Cook-Off Judge - Interest Form

Fill out the information below if you have an interest in being a "taste-testing" judge for the 2026 Cook-off. Judging will be held on October 10th.

Judges must be 18 years old. All entries will be judged on APPEARANCE, TASTE, and TEXTURE. The scoring system values will range from Excellent, being the best score, to Poor, being the worst score.

The weighting factors for the point system are as follows:

• Appearance: 18% (.72)
• Taste: 46.5% (1.86)
• Texture: 35.5% (1.42)

Single Round Judging - CBA Event Representative will allocate a recommended amount of 10 entries to a table with six (6) approved judges. The lowest score out of the 6 judges will be dropped. The remaining 5 scores will be used to determine category placement. Once all 4 CBA categories are scored, we will add those 4 scores together to determine overall placement.

Judges will be selected to judge on a first-come, first-served basis. One week before the event, the judges will be notified that they have been selected to judge and will confirm their attendance at the event. Those not selected will also be informed at this time and may be asked to be present at the event as an alternate in case of no-shows.

• Saturday, October 10th: 10:30 AM arrival for an 11:00 AM judging of Future of BBQ(Kids Que) Pork Chops
• Saturday, October 10th: 11:30 AM arrival for a 12:00 PM judging of Chicken
• Saturday, October 10th: 12:30 PM arrival for a 1:00 PM judging of Pork Ribs
• Saturday, October 10th: 1:30 PM arrival for a 2:00 PM judging of Pork Butt
• Saturday, October 10th: 2:30 PM arrival for a 3:00 PM judging of Brisket
• Saturday, October 10th: 3:30 PM arrival for a 4:00 PM judging of Fajitas
